Meet the officers and board members of NIBGA

President: Jim Winger has been president of the club since 1990 after having been vice president in two prior years. He has been instrumental in getting the club to look beyond just holding festivals. During his tenure the club has begun distributing instructional videos to public libraries, awarding music scholarships and creating videos for distribution to cable channels. He also has responsibility for producing the monthly newsletter and the web site.

Vice President: Sandra Carnes continues as VP and is charge of the vendors for the festivals. Vendors can reach her at 574-858-9308. Vendor applications can be found here.

Treasure: Linda Winger has been treasure since 1990 and prior to that she was the club secretary 1984-87. She has responsibility for balancing the gate at the festivals, producing tax forms, interfacing with the club accounting firm, dealing with band contracts and all other financial maters of the club. She produces club financial statements which are distributed to all board members at the winter meetings and after each festival. She is also responsible for the audibility of the club books.

Secretary: Barbara Collins joined the board in 1997 and is responsible for maintaining records of all business meetings. All requests for scholarships are Barb's responsibility.  She also is manages the club merchandise and membership table at the festivals. 260-868-5662

Board Member: T. J. Collins has been a board member since 1990. He is responsible for festival security, parking and overseeing the use of the fairgrounds. 260-868-5662

Board Member: Pam Keiper has been a key member of the festival team for the last several years. She is a gate captain and assists with vendors. Pam is chairperson for the In School Music program sponsored by NIBGA. 574-586-3558

Board Member: Joe Wyandt has moved from gate captain to grounds and electrical work. Joe has been an active helper at past festivals and is very involved in repairing broken items at the festival. 419-622-3313

Board Member: Paul Saurborn joined the board in November 2005 as a gate captain. Paul at one time was a musician in a band and has attended numerous area festivals. Retired, he wanted to be more active in NIBGA. You will see him at the festivals doing a variety of tasks.  219-766-3204
